The LRWP invites the public to join us through 2026 as we create a replica scull of the four-oared gig depicted in the center foreground of J. Pringle’s 1839 painting (see below). We aim to have our Raritan Star completed in time for July 4th festivities.

We will kick things off with a project orientation session on January 10, including discussion of the history of the boat, a tour of our workshop, and safety briefing. See here for more information about the overall project. Pre-registration required.

This is an “in person” build session at our Boat House location at 101 Raritan Avenue in Highland Park.

Registration is FREE and is limited to twenty registrants.
Close toed shoes are required when in the boat house. Bring your own eye protection if you have it.
