Help the LRWP team install an “Eel Mop” at our Green Brook eel monitoring site in the Green Brook at the end of Jefferson Avenue in Green Brook. We will check this artificial eel habitat multiple teams through Spring 2026. Pre-registration requested.

In addition to installing the eel mop, at this event we will share information about the eel monitoring project, and demonstrate how to conduct a visual stream habitat assessment to evaluate stream health.

Please join us for our 3rd year of monitoring presence of Migratory “Spring Glass Eels” in the Green Brook. This project augments on-going litter reduction initiatives, including installation of a Litter “Trash Trap” device, along the waterway between Dunellen and Middlesex.
