Please join us for a special Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership meeting on Tuesday May 10, 2016 starting at 7pm in at the Jankowski Community Center, 1 Olive Street, Perth Amboy 08861.

At this informational meeting we will discuss how civic scientists like YOU can get involved in water quality monitoring, highlighting our summer partnership with the NY-NJ Baykeeper on their new grant project to gather information about our local waters.

Working under a NY-NJ Harbor Estuary Program grant the focus is on pathogens monitoring at multiple sites along the Raritan River. The LRWP, Raritan Riverkeeper and the City of Perth Amboy are coordinating monitoring at the sites in Perth Amboy.

Monitoring must be conducted on weekdays (M-F), with monitoring activities running from June – August.

No experience necessary, training will be provided. Required monitoring training will take place on May 31 in Keyport, NJ – 7:00 pm. More details to follow.
