May 31, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This summer the LRWP is part of a team working under a NY-NJ Harbor Estuary Program grant to conduct pathogens monitoring at multiple sites along the Raritan River. Can you help with regular summer monitoring?

Training for the Summer 2016 Raritan Bay Citizen Science Pathogens Monitoring Project will be held on Tuesday May 31st from 7-9pm in the NY-NJ Baykeeper office located at 52 West Front Street, Keyport.

This is the ONLY training session will be held. All interested volunteers MUST attend the training session.

At this session volunteers will be trained on sampling protocols, using monitoring equipment, and data recording.

For summer monitoring volunteers will be split into teams based on preferred sampling location. Each sampling location will have one team. A Baykeeper staff member will be present at all sampling locations.

Sampling will occur once per week and one rain event per month from June through August/September. All sampling dates will occur Monday-Friday.

Please contact meredith@nynjbaykeeper.org or 732-888-9870 x 6 with any questions and to RSVP.
