You are invited to join the LRWP and friends for a trip on the Raritan aboard the Rutgers Research Vessel (RV Rutgers)! The trip will be Friday, September 9 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. This is a rare opportunity to see the Raritan from the water!
The Rutgers RV is an 18-passenger speedboat that can navigate the lower Raritan River and estuary. The RV Rutgers is operated by the Department of Coastal and Marine Sciences. See here for more information on the ship .
On this tour we’ll identify our pathogen monitoring locations, highlight important landmarks, and break out binoculars for bird watching. We will likely have the opportunity to see eagles, ospreys, cormorants, kingfishers, herons, egrets and more.
This tour is organized by the Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership (LRWP) and Middlesex County Rutgers Cooperative Extension.
We have a limited number of seats, this is a first-come, first-served trip!
Our trip will depart from Morgan Marina in Sayreville: 8000 Gondek Dr, Parlin, NJ 08859
