Help the LRWP team install an “Eel Mop” at our Green Brook eel monitoring site in the Green Brook at the end of Jefferson Avenue in Green Brook. Pre-registration requested.

In addition to installing the eel mop, at this event we will share information about the eel monitoring project, and demonstrate how to conduct a visual stream habitat assessment to evaluate stream health.

Running from March-May 2024 the LRWP will monitor for Migratory “Spring Glass Eels” in the Green Brook. This civic science eel monitoring project will augment an on-going litter reduction project, including installation of a Litter “Trash Trap” device, along the waterway between Dunellen and Middlesex.
