DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a new offering: “Understanding Urban Stream Health” \n\n\n\nThis session will be led by the LRWP’s Visual Habitat Assessment Project Coordinator Jon Dugan. \n\n\n\nThe program will run on Sunday October 30\, from 9 AM – 11 AM \n\n\n\nProject participants will: \n\n\n\nConnect with the special landscapes that are our urban streamsSee first hand how the way humans have developed the land has impacted our streamsEngage observational tools to assess land use (and other) impacts on stream health and integrityStrategize interventions to improve stream health\n\n\n\nThe LRWP offers this session for community members who want to learn more about our Streamkeeper Visual Habitat Assessment program. \n\n\n\nParticipants will meet at St. Peter the Apostle Community and University Parish / 94 Somerset Street\, New Brunswick\, NJ – we will walk from there to the stream. \n\n\n\nPlease wear clothing and footwear that you don’t mind getting wet and dirty. Watershed-themed costumes optional!! \n\n\n\nPre-registration required.
