DESCRIPTION:Learn woodworking with the Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership as we construct cedar strip and other wooden boats for use on the Raritan River! \n\n\n\nThis is an “in person” build session at our Boat House location at 101 Raritan Avenue in Highland Park. Volunteers will learn through hands-on activities. \n\n\n\nRegistration is FREE and is limited to eight (8) participants.Close toed shoes are required when in the boat house. SUMMARY:August 22 - Guided Paddle of Raritan Bay CANCELLED DUE TO HIGH PATHOGENS LOADING IN RIVER FOLLOWING RAIN EVENTS
DESCRIPTION:Join the LRWP and paddle guides Anton Getz and Gregg Bucino for a guided paddle of Raritan Bay\, leaving from Perth Amboy 2nd St Park to South Amboy (3-5 miles round trip). Total trip distance will be 3-5 miles. PLEASE NOTE: this paddle is weather dependent\, requiring a week of no-rain due to the CSO outfall. Rain date is Saturday September 5\, 9:30am-12:30pm. \n\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS: \n\n\n\n$25 if you bring own kayak/canoe\, $35 if the LRWP provides kayak/canoe and supplies (limited availability). \n\n\n\nPersonal Floatation Devices (life vests) must be worn. \n\n\n\nPrior paddling experience required. \n\n\n\nRegistration required. Max 15 participants. \n\n\n\nSpecific meet-up location and other details to be provided the week before the event. \n\n\n\n(**If you do not have a kayak or canoe and would still like to attend\, please register and then email the group lead: anton.getz@gmail.com.) \n\n\n\nMeet-up location and other details to be provided the week before the event.
