Save the date to join LRWP Board Member Professor David Tulloch as he leads our final “Watershed Highlights and Hidden Streams” walking tour of 2019!
In contrast with past hikes along the river itself, this outing will explore one of the more outermost areas in our watershed. While Monmouth Battlefield State Park is best known for its Revolutionary War history, it is also home to Wemrock Brook and Weamaconk Creek. This hike will bring a different perspective to the battlefield, talking about water and watershed. And, of course, asking where the water delivered by Molly Pitcher was coming from. Estimated 4 miles of walking.
Plan to join us from 10-noon on Saturday November 9, for a walking tour of the Wemrock Brook area of Manalapan Brook Watershed. We will send out maps and more details at the end of October.
